Mark W. Duffey, President & CEO
Mark W. Duffey
is co-founder and President of Everest Funeral Package, LLC. Prior to
Everest, he was President and one of the management founders of Carriage
Services, Inc.
In 1991, Mark co-founded Carriage Services and served
as its president. In less than ten years, Mark helped Carriage Services to
grow into one of the largest funeral home organizations in the world — listed
on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: CSV).
In 2000, Mark left Carriage Services to start Everest,
as he and his colleagues envisioned a comprehensive service that would offer
consumers a unique, flexible alternative to the often expensive and rigid
funeral products existing today. Everest’s services have paved new inroads
for consumers to proactively prepare for and positively deal with life’s one
certain outcome.
Mr. Duffey has also served as a director and officer of
Sovereign Holdings, Inc. and RTO Enterprises, Inc. Prior to 1989, he held
various positions with Mellon Bank including Vice President-Mezzanine Finance.
He serves on the Boards of two other private companies and is involved in both
civic and charitable organizations.
Michael S. Lade, Vice President & CFO
Michael S. Lade is a co-founder
of Everest Funeral Package, LLC. Prior to Everest, he served Carriage
Services as Vice President of Corporate Development from January 1999
to December 2000.
Prior to joining Carriage Services, he served as a divisional
officer and Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions for IKON Office Solutions.
Prior to IKON, he was employed as an Audit Manager with Arthur Andersen & Co. He
is a licensed certified public accountant. He is actively involved in both civic
and charitable organizations.
Carolyn Johnson, Vice President, Client Services
Carolyn
Johnson is Vice President, Client Services. Prior to Everest, she spent more
than 26 years at EDS, most recently serving as a Director in the Southwest
Sales Division.
While at EDS, Ms. Johnson held numerous leadership positions
that included account management of the customer contact center for one of EDS’
largest customers. Her responsibilities included managing the division that developed
policy, communication protocols, and training for the 48,000 healthcare providers
in the State of Texas.
Ms. Johnson is a member of Women in Technology International
and a co-founder of The Origin Group, a consulting firm that helps school districts
apply for Federal technology grants
